Garsfontein Police Station Telephone Lines Struck By Lightning

Lightning took out the telephone lines at the Garsfontein Police Station. Telkom technicians responded very fast and the lines are working again.
A HUGE thank you to Telkom from the SAPS and the Garsfontein Community.

| JFT Professional Patrols |
You may have noticed the clean up operations held in early October by the Garsfontein Police and the Metro Police. They were assisted in particular by 4 guys from JFT Security. Afterwards, we received the following letter from one of the Police officers involved in the operation:
Ek wil graag aan jul noem dat die lede van JFT Professional Patrols ons op hulle AFTYD kom help het. Hulle het tot die einde saam met ons gewerk en dan nog vir hul eie nagskof ook gerapporteer later die aand.
Die JFT ouens wat ons gehelp het is:
1) Francois Meyer, 2) James Saauw, 3) William Shabangu, 4) Steven Swartz
Daar is nie een ander sekuriteitsfirma wat ek ken wat so "dedicated" is om te help waar hulle kan soos die outjies nie!!!! Mag ek ook noem dat hulle ons gehelp het met die deursoek van verdagtes, toemaak van paaie en verkeershoeke. Ek sal altyd weer van hul dienste gebruik maak.

| Africa Security Solutions |
In Sector 3 one of the community groups use the services of the Quad patrol division of Africa Security Solutions. Recently we received the following from one of the residents:
Just a short note to compliment the security Quad bikers!!
Have just had the guard pull up in my driveway to check if we were fine. He noticed a strange car with suspicious occupants parked on neighbours pavement (at present only have building contractors next door) As it turned out they were fetching one of the builders. A very big thank you to him as we were inside and had not noticed anything.
A few months ago I received SMS that a Jack Russel had been found in the neighbourhood. Shortly thereafter the guard pulled up to check if my two Jack Russels were safely in my yard – they were. Thank you again to them for showing such concern.
Thank you to all who work so hard for GPRA it is greatly appreciated and we certainly sleep better for all your efforts.
