NOTICE OF TEMPORARY WATER RESTRICTION IN  AREAS OF TSHWANE

 

The City of Tshwane is issuing a water restriction with immediate effect in the following areas:

  • Daspoort
  • Suiderberg
  • Wonderboom Suid
  • Gezina
  • Montana
  • Garsfontein
  • Lynnwood

 

The restrictions to this area is due to repair works at the Roodeplaat Water Treatment Works.  The water supply to these areas  are now supplied via other sources and reservoirs and therefore water need to be used sparingly. This  implementation of temporary water restrictions is in terms of clause 19 and 59 of the Water Supply By –Laws of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, as published in the Gauteng Provincial Gazette, dated 5 November 2003, Notice No. 6770.

 

Consumers with even street numbers may water their gardens on even dates from 06:00 to 08:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00. Consumers with odd street numbers may water their gardens on odd dates from 06:00 to 08:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00.

 

These restrictions will be enforced with immediate effect until further notice.

 

A spot fine of R5 000.00 per incident can be issued if the above water restrictions are transgressed.
