THE STREET KIDS

The SAPS pleads with the community to not give money to the streetkids, reasons being:

• It promotes a lifestyle of begging,
• It’s frequently used to buy harmful substances,
• Money is given to an adult/s who forces the children to support them, and
• It encourages crime.

If you would like to make a meaningful contribution towards the rehabilitation of streetchildren and the development of South Africa, the South African Police Service encourages you to donate to registered non governmental organizations that are actively making a different in the lifes of children living on the street and in shelters around the country.
